About FunkyKatAudio
Built where music, performance and software meet.
I started FunkyKatAudio in New Delhi to create expressive audio plugins that are easy to understand, fun to use and inspiring to play through.
I’m a software developer, multi-instrumentalist and gigging musician based in Delhi.
I want every effect to feel connected to the person playing through it.

The Beginning
It started with a live rig.
FunkyKatAudio began with a practical problem: I wanted a flexible live-effects chain I could carry to gigs without relying on a processor and several pedals.
I experimented with iPad plugins, Logic Pro and a Bluetooth foot controller. The setup made it into real performances, but the workflow still felt limited.
So I built my own effects-chain app. That experiment eventually became the starting point for FKA AutoWah.

FKA AutoWah
One missing effect changed the direction of the project.
I was using Logic Pro’s AutoFunk effect when I discovered that it was sandboxed inside Logic and could not be loaded into my custom live rig.
Rather than lose that part of the sound, I decided to build a new auto-wah—one that responded more naturally to chords, riffs and changing playing dynamics.
“Play softly and the movement stays controlled. Dig in and the filter opens with you.”
I refined the response across different instruments and used classic funk hardware, including the Guyatone WR6, as a sonic reference while shaping the filter’s character.
Our Approach
Tools should invite you to play.
I believe the technology should support the performance rather than become the focus of it. That means using a focused set of controls, giving each one a clear musical purpose, and building software that feels reliable and practical without losing its personality.

Built for Performance
Designed through playing, listening and repetition.
I shape these products through hands-on playing, live performance and repeated testing—not by adding features for the sake of it.
I keep refining each effect until it responds musically, feels intuitive on stage and is enjoyable to use in the studio.
Looking Ahead
FKA AutoWah is the beginning.
Future FunkyKatAudio releases will continue exploring movement, tone, dynamics and character through focused tools that are easy to understand and inspiring to use.
I’m not trying to release the largest number of plugins. I’d rather make each one distinctive and genuinely useful.
